While we were all becoming intoxicated by the fecundity of it all they were disguising themselves, so well that they even fooled their own kind! is a choreographed walk created in collaboration with Kirsty Roberts, specifically for the Tropical Botanical Gardens of Lisbon (Jardim Tropical de Lisboa); now a botanical garden, it was created in 1906 under the name Colonial Gardens. The performance gathers different narratives that invite the audience into fictions, legends, and narratives that speak of colonization and decolonization processes, as well as of the migrations (of cultures, plants, insects) that ran along these.
